Don’t miss out on the latest CyclingTips updates.
I’ve had a lot of comments lately concerning my TIPS being a little too advanced for the beginner riders and possibly endangering the more experienced riders by the newbies trying their new-found techniques out on a bunch ride. A few people have also been telling me that I’m giving away all the secrets that took them so long to learn. The way I see it – no secrets. I’m not a magician breaking the magician’s code. Also, there’s a big difference between reading the tips, hints and techniques I’m talking about versus implementing them in practice. I can blog until I’m blue in the face about how to periodize your training but many will never actually do it.
What do you think? Is there a cyclists code that I’m not obeying here? Am I putting the peloton in danger by teaching advanced techniques to beginners?
