You have a squillion cycling websites and blogs to choose from and I just want to thank you for stopping by Cycling Tips each day. Have a wonderful Australia Day and enjoy your ride!
Many people have the perception that Cycling Edge only sells $20,000 bikes. If your budget allows, the sky is the limit with the bikes they sell, however you can also get a customized Independent Fabrication or Parlee from them for the same or less than one of those mass produced Taiwanese bikes. Also, their Edge wheels don’t have the same endorsements as Lightweights, but I can tell you first hand that they’re as good and much more practical to own.
Wattbike makes ergo training into something fun. It also gives you real time information right at your fingertips so that you have the tools to improve your cycling. No guesswork whatsoever. Check out their demos at the next event they’re at and you’ll see first-hand what they can add to your cycling. If nothing else you’ll have the opportunity to have a chat with the Sales Manager Brett. You’d be hard pressed to talk to a friendlier guy.
Also, Bike Events is spreading the word on this site about 2 sensational events they’re organising. First is the High Country Challenge on March 13&14 in Mansfield & Mt Buller. There are four challenging ride options in some of the most beautiful countryside in Victoria combined with wine, food and music festivals. If you’re feeling competitive you’ll want to enter the Tour de Flavour Criterium which takes place in the middle of the festival on the streets of Mansfield. This is on March 13 and offers $4000 in prize money.
A’qto casual cycling wear has also put up a beautiful $2500 coffee machine up for grabs when you go to their site and sign up for their mailing list. Make sure you take wander around their site while you’re there and discover their unique clothing designs and styles.
Serotta bicycles has also offered their support. I highly recommend you checking out their site and seeing what they offer. To be honest I never saw too many Serottas around nor took notice to their bikes until now. They look to be beautiful machines offered in all sorts of materials with reasonable prices. Can’t wait to ride one!
Oh, and next time you need a dose of HTFU when you’re whinging about the weather, a friend of mine in Canada emailed me this “what you missed this morning” photo today. I bet he wishes he had a Wattbike…
