Team Sky Presentation
Roving Cycling Tips reporter Dan Moore (a.k.a Pommy Dan) at London at Sky’s Team launch. The whole team rode three laps of St James Park in -5C with 300 randomly selected SKY fans from the sky website registration.
What do you think of the kit? Personally, I don’t care much for what we’ve seen so far. I like the simplicity, but I also think it needs a few more lines to give it some shape. However, the new kits that I usually dislike at first end up being the ones that I love the most. I think it’ll grow on me.
It’ll be interesting to see if Wiggins will deliver the goods after all this hoopla with his expensive transfer (rumored to be $2M) or if Team Sky will end up with buyer’s remorse. How many one-hit-wonders have we seen get a good placing in the TdF and never come through again? I have a good feeling that Wiggins is the real deal though.
My bold 2010 prediction is that Gerro will win an Ardennes Classic this season. He gets closer every year.
Apologies for the lack of TIPS lately. I’m not here to compete against cycling news but there’s been so much going on in Australian cycling lately I can’t help but talk about all this fun stuff! I’ve been gathering my acorns for the winter so don’t worry – lots of great TIPS yet to come.
Pommy Dan and Gerro. Funny how I was riding with Gerro in +30C just a few days ago.
I could have given Gerro a few tips on how to deal with the cold. Stay in Australia!
Interesting how the bikes that Gerro and Henderson were riding around Australia over the summer were Pinarello Dogmas painted stealth black.
