Paris-Nice | Stage 1 – Oh, So Close!

by CyclingTips

Real racing has now begun and yesterday saw the first stage of the 69th edition of Paris-Nice: The Race To The Sun. Seven months of late nights ahead. I’d better renew my Foxtel subscription. I’m looking forward to seeing the season get underway and seeing displays of panache from the riders.

You couldn’t write a better script than seeing De Gendt stay away while poor Jens and Roy get gobbled up by the peloton in the final meters. Who said that radios make racing boring? I’ll say no more. Have a watch of the video below.

From cyclingnews “I’m also three kilos lighter than last year,”  “Salami and sausages are my weakness. I love to eat everything that a pro cyclist shouldn’t eat.”
