Giro d’Italia Stage 20 Preview – Passo dello Stelvio

Stage 20 of the Giro d’Italia is the stage designed by race fans via the official Giro d’Italia Facebook page. It is 219km long and includes the Passo del Tonale, the very steep and painful Mortirolo and then the final 22.4km climb to the summit of the Passo dello Stelvio. It ends at a lung busting altitude of 2757 metres. British professional rider Dan Lloyd rode the Passo dello Stelvio and the images show the snow-covered mountains that form a stunning backdrop to the stage.
