Lamborghini releases 50th anniversary Veneno

On Monday, Lamborghini introduced its newest supercar, the Veneno, and effectively pushed Bugatti and McLaren out of the way, taking the stage as the most expensive sports car ever produced.

The Veneno has a 750HP 6.5-liter, V-12 engine along witha seven-speed automated manual transmission, and all-wheel drive. This machine will go from zero to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and push it to a maximum speed of nearly 220 mph.

Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini’s CEO, said that the Veneno is the “fastest, most powerful road Lamborghini we’ve ever built.”

Named after a fighting bull that gored a matador to death in 1914, the Veneno can be yours for $3M Euro. Actually no, it can’t. All three have been sold.
