After the horrible weather conditions of the 2013 edition of Milan San Remo, riders were hoping for clear skies and sunshine for 2014. They were out of luck with temperatures dropping as low as 3 degrees with constant rain and hail throughout the 300km day.

Daryl Impey was the best placed rider for ORICA-GreenEDGE, the South African finished in 49th place, 3’50 behind the 25 strong group that contested the bunch finish. Alexander Kirstoff (Katusha) emerged as a surprise winner in Sanremo ahead of Fabian Cancellara (Trek Factory Racing) and Ben Swift (Team Sky).

Enjoy all the behind the scenes action in and out of the team car with Sports Director Matthew White in Orica-GreenEDGE’s Backstage Pass.
