Velon was launched earlier this year and is a joint business venture of eleven of the teams.
CEO Graham Bartlett says: “It has three founding principles: To make the sport more exciting, bring new technology too it and that this all has to be underpinned by sustainable and credible teams.”
One of Velon’s goals is to improve the experience in the broadcast, meaning that on-board cameras can help with that. The first of this initiative was brought to life at yesterday’s Tour of Flanders.
In the above video, you can see segments of the 2015 edition of Ronde van Vlaanderen, as seen from on-board cameras mounted on bikes of Velon teams.
