Our take:

Gone are the days when the socks you wore while riding were simply an afterthought. While Australians are in the depths of winter, there has never been a better time to break up traditional black cycling garb with a pop of colour.

While not strictly designed for cycling, Happy Socks has an athletic range which seems to foot the bill nicely. The socks feature a soft sole, and have a ribbed, slightly-compressing exterior. We tested these in winter, but would imagine that breathability on longer summer rides could potentially be an issue given the closed-weave foot, and thick construction.

The socks however were very comfortable to wear, and on shorter rides in cool conditions they look and feel the part. Perfect for your next cafe roll.
