WOMEN'S CYCLING BROUGHT TO YOU BY ORBEA
In pro cycling, it’s customary for great achievements to be celebrated with custom painted apparel and gear. Think national or world stripes on jerseys, helmets, socks, sunglasses, shoes and of course, the bike itself. Earlier this month, Specialized revealed its world championship-themed Tarmac for Peter Sagan ahead of the Abu Dhabi tour, and now it has revealed Lizzie Armitstead’s rainbow-themed bike as well.

Armtistead, as part of the Specialized-sponsored Boels-Dolmans squad rides a Specialized Amira. Though, after winning the UCI World Road Championships in Richmond last month, her bike is one of a kind:
Like her world champion kit , the bike is predominantly white with some flashes of rainbow colours across the frame. And since Armitstead won the UCI World Cup series as well, the colours includes a wider spectrum of hues than the traditional blue-red-black-yellow-green of the world championships, adding touches of purple.
