It is interesting that a bad injury can trigger gluten intolerance. I have had a couple friends experience this.

Here’s a couple of my recommendations. Earlier this year I read The Road to Valour, the story of Gino Bartali and his inspiring story, particularly interesting (and totally unknown to me) was his role during the war. Fantastic read.
I am now reading The Monuments, about the history of the greatest one day races. The behind-the-scenes shenanigans and cheating that went on is amazing to read and just goes to show that cycling has always had its “characters”. Nibali’s handlebar hooking episode with his team cars’ mirror during the Vuelta :-), would be right at home amongst the rogues gallery in these pages. Fascinating & fun read.
