Twenty-three-year-old Queenslander Jay McCarthy (Tinkoff) took the biggest win of his young career on stage 2 of the 2016 Tour Down Under when he outsprinted Diego Ulissi (Lampre-Merida) into Stirling. For several years now McCarthy has been showing his potential but this victory is sure to bring him to greater prominence in the world of cycling.
