In honour of Twitter’s 10 year anniversary, we’ve invited professional tweeter, Sarah Connolly, to talk about what Twitter has done for women’s cycling.
With the lack of TV coverage of women’s cycling, Twitter has allowed us to follow women’s racing in intimate and unique way. Twitter has been filling the gap of coverage with live Twitter commentary and race updates, a direct line to engage with the riders and a way to connect with the community of women’s cycling fans.
And Connolly, perhaps better known as @_pigeons_, has been in the midst of it all from the get-go, because an entry point to women’s cycling for so many fans.
