Rwandan cyclist Jean d’Arc Girubuntu was the first black African woman to ride at the UCI Road World Championships last year and is now edging toward her dream of racing professionally in Europe after British professional cycling team Matrix Fitness stepped in to help.

Team Rwanda, which supports Girubuntu and other promising cyclists in the genocide devastated nation, has put together a video highlighting the path, progress and potential of this trail-blazing athlete.
