Following Tuesday’s mountain stage, the peloton of the 2016 Giro d’Italia took a bit of a breather on Wednesday for Stage 17, a flat 196km ride from Molveno to Cassano d’Adda.
German rider Roger Kluge (IAM Cycling) took a thrilling, surprise solo victory ahead of Giacomo Nizzolo (Trek-Segafredo), who led in the bunch sprint ahead of Nikias Arndt (Giant-Alpecin), who finished third.
