Here at the CyclingTips Emporium we’re pleased to be featuring the first race-inspired jersey collection from UK brand This is Cambridge. The brand’s Red À Bloc jersey matches its Red/ Blue À Bloc socks and the jersey is available exclusively at the Emporium for a limited time only.
We’re big fans of the This is Cambridge range (you might have seen their Sock Swag on the Emporium). Perhaps even more so, we’re fans of the story behind the brand and specifically that of founder Daphne Kaufhold.
Daphne’s perseverance and her love of cycling are both inspiring. Speaking with Ella CyclingTips, Daphne recently shared her story of living with chronic pain and how cycling has helped.
This is Cambridge has been around for three years now, initially starting out making handmade cycling caps in Cambridge, UK. The brand continues to design and make all its caps in Cambridge, forming the launch pad for the rest of its range.
“We always get compliments when we are out and about; you can spot a This is Cambridge sock from a mile,” Daphne said. “There are some great socks out there but again we wanted something different. Our mixy-matchy approach to designing socks comes from our ‘Stand out, don’t fit in’ philosophy.”
This is Cambridge designs in a gender-neutral way as the team there believes that in cycling “there is no him or her, just a collective”. Accordingly, all This is Cambridge jerseys are unisex.
The Red À Bloc jersey has been designed and constructed for riders that are looking for a technical, stylish race-level jersey. Because of the jersey’s aggressive cut you may require a size-up from your usual jersey size.
