  • To add to all of this, a good TdF Infographic:

Thanks for making me even more excited :)

Thats a whole lot of angry Gendarmerie’s

      • But it’s the only place in the world you can have so much fun arguing with them!

        • Andy B

Haha that is very true, makes for a great time

  • Can someone give me a link to watch this year’s Tour?

    • Which country do you live in?

      • Canada

Wade – the stage TV coverage in some countries start mid way with about 80km to go. This must have been negotiated by the broadcasters so they must be aware when TV tunes in to the race. Even then they just start off on TV as if people have been tuned in from beginning. There is no “for viewers joining in this is what has happened so far” We viewers have to figure out for ourselves whats happening. The commentators don’t make an effort to summarise the race so far and bring the TV audience up-to-speed. I think Cycling coverage misses out on this.
So my point is: is there an online internet link that we can follow for the start of the race?

      Try
      http://www.steephill.tv/tour-de-france/
      for links to various sources

      • Really appreciate it. Thanks Anon.

Very nice review! I don’t expect much from Rodriguez and Rolland this time around, unless they have been keeping their powder dry.
    Minor detail:
“particularly for those watching late at night in the Southern Hemisphere”
It is the distance in a North-South direction that makes us Australians watch a summer event in winter, but it is the East-West distance that forces us to stay up late to watch it.

    • I’ve seriously thought about moving to Perth for the month of July because of the 2hr time difference.

Please Nairo, please do it. Please. Nothing would make me happier than watching all the butt-tight, racist commenters on cyclingnews get their british knickers in a knot over a colombian victory in july. please nairo. please.

Please do it Ritchie.Just show those oh-so-wise commentators who say you cant string 3 weeks together that they’re talking rubbish.

  • Mark Blackwell

Big thanks to CyclingTips, Scott and Cosmo… I dunno how he does it, but he does it oh so well.

    • velocite

I second that. Great insights presented with humour and flair. It surprises me that there’s not a queue of advertisers wanting to take advantage of his product. I love his very definite views.

  • What are the 7 sprint stages you identified?
