Rosskopf wins overall at Tour du Limousin

by CyclingTips

Sonny Colbrelli (Bardiani – CSF) doubled his stage wins at the Tour du Limousin, winning the final stage sprint ahead of Francesco Gavazzi (Androni Giocattoli – Sidermec) and Romain Feillu (HP BTP – Auber93). The race leader since stage one, Joey Rosskopf (BMC), took the overall win.

Rosskopf’s stage win was his first individual win at the WorldTour level, and now has an overall win to add to his palmares.

Earlier in the stage a large break formed consisting of: Jérémy Leveau (Roubaix Metropole European Lille), Damien Gaudin (AG2R La Mondiale), Olivier Le Gac (FDJ), Evgeny Shalunov (Gazprom-RusVelo), Thomas Sprengers (Topsport Vlaanderen – Baloise), Miguel Angel Benito Diez (Caja Rural), Delio Fernandez (Delko-Marseille-Provence-KTM), Jeremy Cornu (Direct Energy), Marco Minnaard (Wanty – Gobert Group), Romain Le Roux (Army) and David Menut (HP BTP-Auber 93).

The group built a 3’30” lead but came onto the finish circuits with little more than 30 seconds in hand. They were caught well before the final circuit to set up a field sprint.

While watching the video of Keagan’s welcome home someone started cutting onions in my office.

    • Marcus

They were cutting them in my bedroom as well!

    • De Mac

Yep, a fantastic display of honour and respect for him from his schoolmates.

    • Rob

Yep great video. Also great to see Keagan able to be up and moving. Hoping for a quick recovery mate!

    • Far out. Awesome. Respect.

  • Dave

JvdB is not ‘rejoining’ LottoNL-Jumbo as he never rode there in the first place.

LottoNL-Jumbo is the Dutch team which used to be Rabobank, while Lotto-Soudal is the Belgian team which had previously been Davitamon-Lotto, Silence-Lotto, Lotto-Belisol etc.

    • Thanks for pointing out the error Dave. Give us a break though. Yes the word ‘rejoining’ was a two letter mistake, typo, whatever (not sure) but out of the millions of words we publish per year on extremely tight deadlines, I think we do pretty well.

      • George Darroch

        You do very well.

      • velocite

Have you thought of a separate ‘crowd editor’ messaging system, so we can ‘help’ in private?

      • dynatella

        Bit thin skinned I see

    • James_Casper

      Here’s a suggestion …,

You not happy with CT’s editorial work, or its quality, then go off and make your own site.

After all, the amount of shite you write in your comments – some of which is incorrect, which you pass as factual – suggests you should take a chill pill. Or get a life.

    • Rob

Geez, Dave…somebody woke up with their bib knicks on backwards today. Chill out bro

      • Roger That

        …and inside out

      • choppy

nah he forgot to use this on a 200km ride yesterday.

    • velocite

Your first two sentences are excellent, thanks.
