It’s been two weeks now since we launched the Mark Gunter Photographer of the Year Awards and the outstanding entries just keep rolling in. In the gallery below we’ve selected some of the best images from week 2 of the competition, from both amateur and professional photographers. These photos really capture the beauty of cycling.
As expected, we have been inundated with support and there have been too many photos to publish in the one gallery but stay tuned for more in the weeks to follow. All entries will be considered by our judges Graham Watson, Kristof Ramon and Ashley & Jered Gruber.
For those of you just finding out about the competition, you can see all of the information, rules and prizes here.
Thanks to our generous sponsors for their support and prize donations:

Ironically the tight chicane was added last minute as part of a course reroute to avoid a prolonged stretch of fresh pea-gravel on US Highway 71.” DSLR. @snowymountainphotographyCaitlin Johnston, Australia. “Loren Rowney, Tayler Wiles, Amanda Spratt and Rachel Neylan celebrating their Orica BikeExchange team mate Amanda Spratts 2016 Cadel Road Race win.” DSLR. @caitlin_johnoTodd Elmer, Singapore. “Hours spent flying from Singapore to Nice > Hours spent riding in a weekend of riding. I didn’t even know that it had snowed up high but as I approached the hills I could see the perfect snow line halfway up the mountain. Eventually everything turned white around me. My hands were freezing because of the shade of the mountain. I didn’t want to stop but the road, the trees, the incredible whiteness. I really just wanted to share what I was seeing and the feeling that I was experiencing. It was worth stopping. I’m glad I didn’t stay home.” Smartphone / Action Cam. @velosteefPeter Maniaty, Australia. “Count ’em. 99 Bends, Queenstown, Tasmania.” DSLR. @carbonaddictionNicholas Kupiak, Canada. “Attempts at getting loose for cyclocross practice.” DSLR. @ridegradientJohn Beadle, Australia. “04/11/16. 20km out of Broome, Western Australia on another long hot training ride with my mate Andy.
