WOMEN'S CYCLING BROUGHT TO YOU BY ORBEA
Here at CyclingTips we’re proud to announce that we’ll be live-streaming the inaugural Towards Zero Race Melbourne, the curtain-raiser kermesse to this weekend’s Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race. Race Melbourne will be held this Thursday January 26 — Australia Day — on the Albert Park Formula 1 circuit and you’ll be able to catch all the action live on the CyclingTips Facebook page.
The women’s event starts at 9:30am AEST and will be contested over 12 laps of the 5.3km circuit for a total of 63.6km. The men’s event starts at 12:30pm and will be raced over 22 laps for a total of 116.6km. We’ll be livestreaming both the women’s and men’s events.
Thirteen of the sport’s 17 WorldTour teams will be in attendance for the men’s Race Melbourne, in addition to four Pro Continental teams, an Australian National team, and the IsoWhey Sports-SwissWellness Continental team. The women’s event will feature nine UCI teams — including Orica-Scott, Wiggle-High 5, UnitedHealthcare, Canyon-SRAM and Hagens Berman-Supermint — as well as four Australian National Road Series teams.
The full program for the day is as follows:

‘Towards Zero’ is a campaign from Victoria’s Transport Accident Commission (TAC); a vision of a future free of deaths and serious injuries on our roads. This can be achieved by creating policies and infrastructure that make our roads safe for everyone.
