What do you do when not riding?
My day job is a Director of a Melbourne based printing and communications business, as well as having 3 school aged children 14, 12 & 8 whom keep me busy as a parent in between Soccer, Netball, Ballet, Jazz, Basketball and music lessons.
Road- Geraint Thomas – One tough cookie
MTB – Nino Schurter – Grit & professionalism
Female – Peta Mullins – All round ability and one of the nicest people you could meet.
Current bike rack:
– Santa Cruz Tallboy 29er
– Cervelo R3
– Focus Mares AX CX Bike
– Single Speed Masi
+ 1 x Spare Roadie & MTB as second bikes
The dream N+1 is a:
Give me a BAUM anytime! I’m also quite partial to a Cannondale Scalpel Si (Lefty MTB)
What is your favourite Velominati or cycling ‘rule’ to break?
There is only 1 rule to break and that is Rule #No.1 – Riding your bike is all that counts
Where would you take the VeloClub #lunchbunch in your neck of the woods?
Depending on what bike I ride means different things! MTB/CX = The Mornington Peninsula Brewery/RedHill Brewery – The Roadie = Via Batisti (Mt Martha) or Flock Café (Mornington) for Coffee.
Where should we be planning the next VeloClub summit (junket)?
We have some awesome quiet back roads deep into the Mornington Peninsula with a little gravel.
Your earliest cycling memory:
A Red Raleigh Tomahawk 3 speed bike as a 7 year old which was way too big but it was not going anywhere.
