      Totally +1!

  • Epic photos…

All of the intensity of the race, frozen for an instant for so many different riders. I’d love to know the story behind lots of the photos, like the Cannondale-Drapac rider with a musette and gels flying but no bike in sight.

    Amazing race. Amazing photos.

Fantastic, atmospheric pics. I’d really appreciate some captions of the earlier ones to help me identify some of the lesser known riders (or to say what happened).

I think you can see the shooter of my favourite finish line pic (Kwiat with one hand up at about 50m to go) in the front on shot (Kwiat with both hands up about to cross the line).

  • Muggles

    once again GREAT photos.

  • Samaway

Once again, proved why its one of the best races of the year! Thanks for the excellent photos!

  • PBS Mahapatra

amazing! Different shades of the emotion during the race are beautifully portrayed.

  • Mark Blackwell

Wow, those images of him crossing the finish line in Siena, such a GLADIATOR. Imagine what that must feel like… chills.

  • Sean

    Amazing photos

  • Huddo

    Magic photos !

Glad the Strade Bianche was elevated to WT status. It is a modern classic. The finish up into old Siena is up there with the entrance to the Roubaix velodrome.

  • Hard to believe these photosets continue to raise the bar with each race, but holy shit – best this season yet.

When I see these incredible pictures, I wonder if, in say 30 years, they’ll be the epic reminders like many of the great pics from yesterday are of their time. Beautiful sport.

  • Sandra Klose

    most emotional sport

  • Simon de Laine

A beautiful collage of pain faces. Love the one of the young Astana dude. Incredible images. Congrats to the snappers on a job well done!
