CyclingTips partners with Zwift for eFondo Series

It’s been two-and-a-half years now since Zwift first launched and in that time the part training tool, part massively multiplayer online game and part social network has gone from strength to strength. New courses have been added, so too have workouts, and new users have flocked to the platform in their thousands.

Far from being a solo pursuit, riding on Zwift is a social experience that can transform the drudgery of an indoor trainer ride into something much more enjoyable. On Zwift, riding with others from around the world is easy — simply meet up with other riders out on course, join one of the many official group rides happening every day, or join one of Zwift’s official eFondos.

After the success of Zwift’s first eFondo, the Maratona dles Dolomites eFondo which attracted 1,300 participants, Zwift is launching the Zwift eFondo Series p/b CyclingTips.

This five-event series will run monthly from May through to September. The dates are as follows, with the events to be held at a friendly time for riders in the southern hemisphere:

– Sunday May 21 (results)
– Sunday June 25 (results)
– Sunday July 23 (details)
– Sunday August 20 (details TBD)
– Sunday September 24 (details TBD)

Each event will comprise a full lap of the 72km Watopia Pretzel course and will be free for Zwift members.

Pace: Join either the A or C group. Race to the finish with the front group or ride along with others. Your finishing time will be displayed when you finish under the official Zwift eFondo arch.

Prizes: Individual eFondo prizes will be announced shortly, and for now Australia and New Zealand Zwifters who complete 3 of the 5 eFondos from May to September will be entered to win a VIP trip to the 2018 Tour Down Under.
