Date: Friday, July 7
Start: Troyes
Finish: Nuits-Saint-Georges
Distance: 213.5km (132.6mi)

A last chance for the sprinters before the first rest day as the peloton tackles a long but uncomplicated transitional stage. A chance for revenge from the previous stages as no sprinter will want to go into the rest day without a victory to their name. It will also be an interesting day in the battle for the Green jersey as the pure sprinters want to get as much of a head start as possible leading into the mountains.

Christian Prudhomme, race director: “Globally flat course seems perfectly suited for a revenge between the sprinters, frustrated by the outcome of the previous day. However the finale loop of 40 kilometres will see the peloton battle it out in the sidewind and some teams will certainly make the best of it. The Burgundy vineyard homelands are indeed registered on the World Heritage of Humanity sites.”
