Chris Froome will race Ruta del Sol; cyclocross beyond Belgium: Daily News Digest
Chris Froome will start his season at Ruta del Sol next week, according to Team Sky. The Spanish stage race sets off in Spain on February 14.
Froome has been training in South Africa over the last month and is continuing on with his season as planned, though he is under investigation following an adverse analytical finding for Salbutamol, taken during the final week of the Vuelta a Espana. Froome has nonetheless been piling on the training kilometers, riding more than 5,100km in South Africa over the winter, according to his Strava account.
“I’m confident that we will be able to get to the bottom of what has happened and I’m working hard with the team to do that,” Froome said.
