In partnership with our friends at Rapha Custom, we’ve been running a design competition over the past couple of weeks, where participants get the opportunity to design to a brief and win custom Rapha gear. The lucky winner of each round scores a set of Rapha Pro Team kit in their design, plus a set for four of their friends (five sets in total).

Last week, we ran a round asking participants to design a kit that they thought represented CyclingTips. We received dozens of amazing entries, covering all manner of palates and patterns and visions of what a CyclingTips kit could look like, and from that, we whittled it down to a shortlist of 12 entries. But it felt right to let our VeloClub members choose the winner.

We conducted a poll of VeloClub members, and out of hundreds of votes, this is the verdict – announced by a familiar face.

In third place, Simone Rossi:

In second place, Andrew Hull, with a design that he says is “classic Rapha meets CyclingTips”:

There were just a couple of votes separating second and first, but ultimately, in first place, we have this offering from Chris Day

Congratulations Chris! We’ll be in touch via email to let you know how to claim your prize.

There’s a couple of days left to get involved in the competition, which is now in its final few days. And this time, we want you to design a kit that represents the Giro d’Italia. That could be a design that draws on the heritage of the race, or its colour palate, or an iconic racer or stage or climb… feel free to be as creative as you wish.

The final winner will be judged by EF–Education First’s Lachlan Morton, and it could be you pedalling away in Rapha Custom kit of your own design!

You’ve got until Friday 10 May to get your designs in, so don’t delay.

Good luck! You can submit your designs here:
