Colin Strickland’s New Frontiers

In the lateset episode of Wahoo's Frontiers series, Colin Strickland talks about racing Red Hook, winning Unbound Gravel, and is quite candid about his decision not to race in the pro tour after being offered a contract with EF -- Education First.

“World tour racing is the dream for some and may even be the dream for most cyclists but it was not my dream.”

The life Strickland has created for himself in Austin, Texas and the type of racing he gets to do means more to him than any world tour race. This does not mean that there is anything wrong with racing at the highest level but rather Colin knows what makes him happy and what motivates him, the pleasure of good friends, wide-open roads, and full-throttle racing is the underlying current in this enigmatic cycling character.
