Pro gravel cyclist Colin Strickland released a statement Friday afternoon in response to the issue of an arrest warrant for Kaitlin Armstrong, who faces murder charges in the death of Mo Wilson on May 11.

Strickland sought to clarify his relationships with both Armstrong and Wilson, stating that he had a brief romantic relationship with Wilson in October of 2021 which had since become “platonic and professional.”

According to the statement, Strickland’s relationship with Wilson came during a break in his relationship with Armstrong, but Strickland and Armstrong resumed their relationship later “reconciled and resumed our relationship.”

“There is no way to adequately express the regret and torture I feel about my proximity to this horrible crime,” Strickland’s statement reads.
