Simon Zahner taking applications for development riders

by CyclingTips

Swiss cyclocross racer Simon Zahner has an interesting opportunity for young Swiss or German racers looking to make the next step. The former road pro with BMC is currently racing cyclocross with EKZ, and he is personally taking open applications for a development programme.

“Through my veins flow oil and lactate, the bike is an extension like an arm and I have achieved a lot, whether on the road or in the dirt,” he wrote on his website.

“I know when it comes to cycling, how to work with equipment and how to combine sport with family and education. Do you want to benefit from my experience and accompany me for two years as a talent?”

The application is only open to German or Swiss citizens ages 15 to 22. Those accepted will receive two Felt F4X bikes and full team clothing, as well as the opportunity to train and learn from Zahner.
