Lappartient talks new motor detection, Rowe on recovery: Daily News Digest
A graph compiled from official figures from this week’s release of Transport Statistics Great Britain 2017 has suggested that the number of cyclists could soon overtake motorists in London. According to BikeBiz, Twitter user @lastnotlost created the graph which shows that the current trajectory of cycle growth versus vehicle decline in the capital should see the former overtake the latter.

Factors suggested as possible reasons include a congestion charge introduced in 2003, as well as tube strikes and fears of terrorist attacks. BikeBiz suggest that the recent introduction of protected cycle ways will likely further speed the growth of cycling.
The statistics were produced using data from a section of the report titled ‘People entering central London during morning peak.’
