The future of the Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team has been secured with the news that the current sponsors, Boels Rental and Dolmans Landscaping Group, have committed to backing the team until the end of 2020. The two have been sponsors of the outfit since 2010 and 2012 respectively and will remain involved, helping the team to achieve more success in the next three seasons.

“We are proud to be first naming partner of this Dutch-registered team and to have celebrated so many victories with the team over the past five years,” said Boels Rental’s Corporate Marketing & Communications Manager, Yvo Hoppers. “There wasn’t much to discuss when contracts were renegotiated. It’s clear from everything that the team does that its management and riders have the right attitude towards professional cycling, which includes respect, sportsmanship and commitment. Boels Rental is pleased that the team will carry its name for another two years.”

The team has clocked up very important success in recent years. Lizzie Deignan took the overall in the two last editions of the World Cup, while Megan Guarnier topped the individual classification of the inaugural Women’s WorldTour in 2016. This year, Anna van der Breggen won five Women’s WorldTour races in the past season. These included the Ardennes triple and the Giro Rosa, helping her to take the overall Women’s WorldTour.

The team has won the past three world road race championships, with Deignan, Amalie Dideriksen and Chantal Blaak succeeding.

“We have been involved with the team for years now and have seen our ambitions grow along with those of the team, with sports director Danny Stam leading the way for his riders,” said Erwin Janssen, owner of Dolmans Landscaping Group. “Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team is the number one UCI women’s team in the world. Team spirit, passion and commitment from everyone involved in the team have led to our successes. We celebrate all of our achievements together and I think that’s exemplary of the atmosphere within the team. I’m thrilled that our partnership with the team will be continued for another two years. We are still eager for more success.”
