Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) has won the GP de Fourmies for a second time, the 27-year-old adding to his 2013 victory with a sprint victory in the 2017 edition of the French one-day race.

A 10-rider escape group led for much of the 205km race but was eventually reeled back in 5km from the line. Julien Vermote (QuickStep Floors) escaped on his own with 4km to go, but the Belgian was caught under the flamme rouge, setting things up for a bunch kick.
When it came time for that sprint, Bouhanni proved far too strong, winning by several bike lengths ahead of Marc Sarreau (FDJ) and Rudiger Selig (Bora-hansgrohe).
Bouhanni now has seven wins for the year.
