Brisbane cyclist killed by 21-year-old motorist with provisional license

A 50-year-old cyclist has passed away in hospital after a collision with a car in Chapel Hill early on Friday morning.

The bicycle rider was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition with head injuries, but died on Saturday.

The 21-year-old car driver, reportedly driving on a provisional licence, was not injured and remained at the crash scene assisting police with their inquiries.
