Velofix, America’s largest mobile bike servicing franchiser, have partnered with Canyon USA to offer an alternate bike delivery option. In this, customers can elect to pay a US$95 premium to have the bike shipped to a local Velofix mechanic, as opposed to direct to them.
Here, the Velofix mechanic will assemble the bike, deliver it to the customer at a specific time and then perform a basic fitting service. Canyon USA claims Velofix will be able to facilitate a return of the bike on the spot if any fitting issues arise. Canyon USA has stated that warranty-related issues will still be dealt directly with the customer, and not via Velofix.
In a press release from Canyon USA, company president, Blair Clark said – “The simple setup process (of existing boxed Canyon bike deliveries) has satisfied hundreds of thousands of customers and is one of Canyon’s many unique benefits. By offering the Canyon USA Delivery Service by Velofix we will have another option to serve the customer who desires additional personal assistance from a professional certified mechanic.”
