Magnus Cort Nielsen (ORICA-Scott) took his second win of the season at the Clasica de Almeria in a field sprint ahead of Rüdiger Selig (Bora-hansgrohe) and Jens Debusschere (Lotto Soudal).

A trio of Kenneth Van Rooy (Sport Vlaanderen-Baloise), Dries De Bondt (Veranda’s Willems-Crelan) and Berden De Vries (Roompot-Nederlandse Loterij) were off the front for most of the race, but were caught just under 20km to go.

Yoann Offredo (Wanty-Groupe Gobert) tried a solo move just over 10km from the finish but ORICA-Scott quickly covered that move and kept the peloton together for the finish.

This is the ninth win for the ORICA-Scott team this season.
