CyclingTips Podcast: David Walsh on Armstrong, Team Sky, Chris Froome and Bradley Wiggins’ TUEs

by Matt de Neef

David Walsh, chief sports writer at the Sunday Times and a journalist best known in cycling circles as the man who helped expose Lance Armstrong, was recently in Melbourne for the Sports Writers Festival, to speak about his time spent chasing the Lance Armstrong story. CyclingTips’ Australian editor Matt de Neef caught up with Walsh during his visit.

In this wide-ranging interview Walsh reflects on what it was like breaking and following a story as big as Armstrong’s, what he learned from his time embedded with Team Sky in 2013, and what he thinks about the recent Fancy Bear leaks of Bradley Wiggins’ therapeutic use exemption (TUE) forms and what they say about Sky, Wiggins, and three-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome.
