Victoria Police reports that a male cyclist in his 50s was killed in a collision while “part of a racing group” in Yannathan, south-east of Melbourne, on Sunday afternoon.

“It is believed the cyclist lost control and was hit by a 4WD travelling in the opposite direction,” police media reports. “The male cyclist aged in his 50s died at the scene.”

The driver of the car is assisting police with their enquiries.
