Dan Craven ‘live-tweets’ during Olympic road race

Dan Craven, racing for Namibia in the men’s road race on Saturday, appeared to be live-tweeting his experience from inside the peloton, causing many to wonder how he was able to do it.

Some fans speculated he was using a voice activated phone, while others joked that he had three arms. It turns out it was his girlfriend doing the tweeting.

“My girlfriend Collyn Ahart is a genius,” he said after the race. “Her day job is marketing strategy. I came up with the idea last night but had no idea she would make such a splash.”

The pro known for his full beard is currently racing with the Cycling Academy team, but spent last year at the WorldTour level with Europcar.
