Dog walker nearly takes out Sagan in Tirreno TT

by CyclingTips

When your dog wants to go, your dog wants to go. Or this woman just gives zero you-know-whats about a bike race happening in her neighborhood, as she nearly took out Peter Sagan as he was racing in the final stage time trial of Tirreno-Adriatico.

“I didn’t brake because I was in my TT position,” Sagan said. “I saw her really late and I just went out of the road.”

When asked what he thought of the incident, Sagan laughed and said it was funny. It also probably helps that he was not in contention for the overall or a likely stage winner. However, a crash could have ended his chances for Saturday’s bigger goal, Milano-San Remo.

“Today was relaxed, I just wanted to make it to the finish. I’m happy nothing happened today and am looking forward to Saturday.”
