Luke Durbridge (Mitchelton-Scott) will miss the remainder of the Australian summer races after a heavy fall on the penultimate lap of Sunday’s Road Nationals road race.
Durbridge had just attacked from a reduced peloton to close down a move by Simon Clarke (EF Education First-Drapac) when he lost control on a right-hand corner. The time trial silver medalist hit the deck then slid into a gutter, the impact resulting in a concussion and broken right collarbone.
