Australian rider Benjamin Dyball has grabbed the overall lead in the 2.1 ranked Tour of Thailand – or, using the event’s full name, the Princess Maha Chackri Sirindhorn’s Cup Tour of Thailand.
The St. George Continental Cycling Team rider finished in the main bunch on Sunday’s opening stage and Monday’s stage two, won by Raymond Kreder (Team Ukyo) and Shotaro Iribe (Shimano Racing Team) respectively. He then shone on the third stage to Khao Yai, finishing twelve seconds ahead of Artem Ovechkin (Teregganu Cycling Team) and Thomas Lebas (Kinan Cycling Team), and over two minutes ahead of the next riders.
That puts him 16 seconds clear of Ovechkin heading into the undulating fourth stage.
