Sharing the same aerodynamic profile as the Aero55 Fantom rim, Easton’s new EC90 Aero 85 Disc is 30mm deeper in an effort to further cheat the wind. These new tubeless-ready clinchers are designed to accompany the latest crop of disc-equipped triathlon, time-trial and aero road bikes.
The new 85mm depth rim features a 19mm internal width and a 28mm external dimension. The rims are laced to Easton’s Vault road disc hubs with Sapim CX-Ray straight pull spokes and external alloy nipples. The centerlock disc hubs offer easy conversion between quick release and thru-axle standards, along with a tight 6-degree freehub engagement.
Wheelset weight is claimed at 1,827g and pricing is to be confirmed. Easton guarantees the wheels for a period of two years, with free repair for any damage occurred during that time period, crashes included. Visit eastoncycling.com for more information.
