The Jayco Herald Sun Tour might be overshadowed by its bigger cousins — the Santos Tour Down Under and the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race — but there’s still a lot to like about this humble UCI 2.1 race. It’s Australia’s oldest stage race, for a start, so it has a history that no other stage race in Australia can match. It also has a charm to it that the Aussie WorldTour races don’t have; a genuine beauty in its quaintness.
