How wildcard places were awarded in WorldTour races in 2016

This is an interesting graphic showing how many wildcard invites the Pro Continental teams got to WorldTour events in 2016.

As you can see, there’s a huge discrepancy between a team like Cofidis (with 16 wildcards) and the bottom two Pro Conti teams which didn’t race a single WorldTour event. Australia’s Drapac Pro Cycling just raced the one WorldTour event in 2016, the Tour Down Under, down two on 2015 (the Canadian GPs).
