Iranian Rahim Emami tested positive for steroids from a sample collected at the Jelajah Malaysia stage race on 18 October 2016 and was provisionally suspending pending an adjudication.This constitutes the second positive test for the Team Pishgaman Cycling, a UCI Continental team.
As a result of the second positive the team will be subject to a suspension from 15 days to 45 days according to article 7.12.1 of the UCI Anti-Doping Rules.
“The UCI will refer the matter to the Disciplinary Commission which will render a decision in due course,” a statement said. “At this stage of the procedure, the UCI will not comment any further on any of these matters.”
Iranian Naser Rezavi tested positive for steroids from a sample collected at the Jelajah Malaysia on 11 December 2015 and was given a 4-year sanction.
