Australian Continental team Avanti IsoWhey has already announced its new name for 2017, IsoWhey Sports SwissWellness, and now the team has announced its new bike sponsor.
With Avanti ending its sponsorship, the team has partnered with Cervelo for the 2017 season. The majority of riders on the team will use the S5 while some climbers will opt for the lightweight R5 in the hills.
“We are really excited to be able to partner with Cervelo,” said team co-owner Steve Price. “These bikes are truly cutting-edge. Cervelo are leaders in the industry and have put together packages that tick all the boxes in terms of aerodynamic efficiency and weight.”
The IsoWhey Sports SwissWellness squad for 2017 features a number of returning riders — Joe Cooper, Anthony Giacoppo, Neil Van Der Ploeg, Sam Crome, Sean Lake, Pat Lane, Robbie Hucker and Jason Lea. New signings include Chris Harper, Cameron Bayly and Tim Roe.
The full rider list will be announced in coming weeks and is expected to include Scott Sunderland.
