Joe Cooper (IsoWhey-SwissWellness) and Macey Stewart (TIS Women’s Racing) have emerged victorious from the three-day, four-stage Sam Miranda Tour of the King Valley, the latest round of Australia’s National Road Series.

In the men’s event Cooper won the stage 1 individual time trial to take the lead in the general classification. Cooper’s teammate Michael Freiberg won the criterium later that day, Alex Smyth (NSWIS) won the strade nero road race, and then Freiberg won again on the final stage. Cooper, meanwhile, was able to defend his lead to win the Tour and maintain his overall lead in the NRS rankings.

In the women’s event, Kate Perry (Specialized Women’s Racing) won the individual time trial, Georgia Whitehouse (NSWIS) won the the criterium, Stewart won the strade nero road race, and Erin Kinnealy (Holden Women’s Racing) edged out Stewart to win the final stage. The latter, however, had done enough to secure the overall victory.
