Kyeongho Min takes out the Tour de Korea

by CyclingTips

A solo victory on stage 2 of the Tour of Korea has paved the way for overall success for Kyeongho Min (Seoul Cycling Team).

The local rider finished four seconds clear on stage 4, to take a slender lead into the last three stages of the five-stage race. Australia’s Scott Sunderland (IsoWhey-SwissWellness) sprinted to victory on stage 3 and then Jon Aberasturi (UKYO) did likewise on stage 4, the Spaniard adding to his victory on the first day of competition.

The final stage was an all-Australian affair with Brenton Jones (JLT Condor) taking top honours, ahead of Sunderland and Jason Lowndes (Israel Cycling Academy). Twenty-year-old Min finished comfortably in the bunch to take the biggest result of his young career. Edwin Avila (Illuminate) was second overall and Yevgeniy Gidichy (Vino-Astana Motors) was third.
