Megan Guanier ends season with broken jaw

by CyclingTips

American Megan Guarnier has ended her season early after suffering a broken jaw in a crash at the world championships.

Guarnier hit the deck with a couple of laps remaining in Saturday’s race in the same crash that brought down eventual winner Chantal Blaak (Netherlands).

The 32-year-old American has had another strong season with her Boels-Dolmans team, winning a stage of the women’s Tour of California, the Giro Rosa and the Ladies Tour of Norway.
