Video: Van driver forces cyclist off the road

by Matt de Neef

Footage has emerged of a van driver in the UK forcing a cyclist off the road. Fortunately the cyclist was able to stay upright.

The video has sparked considerable discussion online, with many cyclists expressing outrage, and others suggesting the rider should have been closer to the edge of the road. One Twitter user asked local traffic police whether cyclists are allowed to ride in the middle of the lane:

The driver of the van was fired as a result of the incident.
